The Jam is an institution on the King’s Road, a rustic Italian, family-run restaurant which was in need of a new frontage and internal refurbishment. The space is long and narrow but cleverly arranged with seats and tables over two levels using scaffold poles and boards.
shape + was commissioned to reconfigure the entrance to maximise street appeal and design the internal treatment to give the restaurant a fresh new look.
The developed concept gives the restaurant a romantic piazza feel with intimate, hanging lights, dark walls and rustic stone flooring. The new frontage opens up the restaurant to the street and invites views all the way through the space.
