This sensitive site is located within rural Radclive. It was formerly a railway site and following dismantling, it is currently occupied by stables, manége and mobile home. The site is elevated, overlooking a golf course.
shape+ has been commissioned to design a sustainable and innovative house that maximises the potential of the site whilst sensitively responding to the context.
The current design concept is to create a barn like structure, that is wrapped by a single storey element. The house will be sunken into the landscape to take benefit of the topography and will incorporate sustainable methods of construction.
